WALESKA, Ga. - Taji Jackson of Union is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week, while Barry Finley of Point and Dustin Brown of Union are the Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the 12th and final edition of the awards for the 2023 season.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Barry Finley - Point - Senior - Gardendale, Ala.

  • Made 10 total tackles (9 solo, 1 assisted) in a 14-0 win over St. Andrews.
  • Had 1 sack for a 7-yard loss.
  • Recovered 1 fumble.
  • This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week
 Taji Jackson - Union - Sophomore - Nicholasville, Ky.

  • Accounted for 200 yards from scrimmage in Union's 44-0 win over Kentucky Christian.
  • Averaged 14.7 yards per carry as he ran for 162 yards and 1 touchdown on 11 attempts.
  • Caught 1 pass for 38 yards.
  • This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Dustin Brown - Union - Sophomore - Russellville, Ky.

  • Scored 6 points in the 44-0 win over Kentucky Christian.
  • Went 6-for-6 on PATs.
  • This is his first weekly honor of the season.
