Week 4: AAC Football Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Alex Sanders of Pikeville is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week, while Myson Livingston of Pikeville and Jakob Headley of Pikeville are the Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the fourth edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 25.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Myson Livingston - Pikeville - Grad Student - St. Marys, Ga.
- Recorded 7 tackles (7 solo) in Pikeville's 24-20 win over Faulkner (Ala.).
- Had 1 sack for a loss of 8 yards.
- Forced 1 fumble.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Sanders - Pikeville - Grad Student - Hazlehurst, Ga.
- Rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.
- Scored on a 44-yard run.
- Averaged 6.4 yards per carry.
- Established 2 new program career records - most carries (448) and most 100-yard rushing games (11).
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Jakob Headley - Pikeville - Senior - Auxier, Ky.
- Scored 6 points in the Bears' win.
- Went 3-for-3 on PATs and booted a 22-yard field goal.
- This is his second weekly honor of the season.
