Milligan Tabbed as Favorite in Race for Women's Cross Country Championship
WALESKA, Ga. - Milligan is the team to beat in the hunt for the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Cross Country championship, according to the AAC Coaches' Preseason Poll released on Wednesday.
The poll was voted on by the women's cross country coaches of the AAC.
Milligan received 10 first-place votes to amass 153 points. Montreat is picked to finish second, having garnered one first-place vote for 144 points.
Meanwhile, SCAD Atlanta, Columbia, and Truett McConnell round out the top five.
The AAC Championship Meet is set for Friday, Nov. 8, at Sequoya Park in Knoxville, Tenn.
