Columbia Announces Moore as Next Head Cross Country Coach
COLUMBIA, S.C. - After an extensive national search, Columbia College Athletics and Director of Athletics Glen Crawford have announced the hiring of Ronnie Moore as the next Head Cross Country and Assistant Track & Field Coach.
Moore will bring over 20 years of experience in the coaching world; he started his coaching career at Episcopal High School (Bellaire, TX) in 1991 after a running career at the University of Arkansas. As an athlete, Moore was a seven-time NJCAA All-American at Blinn College and the 1985 Texas Southwest JUCO Conference Champion in the 400m hurdles. His collegiate coaching stops include:

- Pratt Community College; Cross Country Head Coach, Assistant Track Coach
- Campbellsville University; Assistant Coach
On top of his coaching experience, Moore is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (USTFCCCA) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also holds his Master of Science in Human Performance Recreation & Wellness from Pittsburg State University.
Ronnie is a native of Houston, Texas, where he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School before completing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Arkansas.
During his running career at Arkansas, the Razorbacks won two Southwest Conference Championships. Moore won two NCAA triple crowns – having won titles during cross country, indoor, and outdoor meets in a single season. He qualified twice for the US Olympic Trials in the 400m hurdles.
