AAC Places 38 on NAIA Scholar Athlete List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athletes on Thursday.

The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) placed 38 on the list with Milligan leading the way with 12. Montreat followed with nine honorees, while Bryan and Truett McConnell each had five. Columbia International, Reinhardt, and Tennessee Wesleyan each landed two on the list, while Pikeville had one.

The 2023 list features 626 student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
