Week 1: AAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Ellen Mary Kearney of Milligan is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 11.

• Crossed the line third at the Fire Tower Project.
• Top NAIA individual finisher with a time of 17:48 in the 5K for an average split of 3:33.6 per kilometer.
• Field consisted of four NCAA Division I teams, three NCAA Division II teams, and two NAIA squads.
• Helped Milligan to a third-place showing behind Florida State and Appalachian State
• This is her first weekly award this season.
