Union's Kessler Lands on NAIA All-American Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2024 NAIA Women's Volleyball All-America Teams are out, and Raquel Kessler of Union Commonwealth is the Appalachian Athletic Conference's (AAC) only representative on the squad.
Kessler scored a spot on the third team after earning AAC Player of the Year honors.
The fifth-year senior led the conference in kills per set (3.64) and was second in total kills (397). Kessler was also fourth in the AAC in blocks per set (1.03) and total blocks (112). She amassed 324 digs and served up 23 aces on the year.
Kessler helped Union Commonwealth to the sixth seed in the AAC Tournament.
The NAIA-VCA Executive Committee selects the NAIA All-America teams during the NAIA Championship. The pool of candidates comes from the All-Conference/CAC teams.
