Maiden, Rymer-Attaway Collect NAIA All-American Team Honors

WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) placed two players on the 2023 NAIA Women's Volleyball All-American Team, the national office announced on Monday.

Earning the accolades are Ella Maiden of Milligan and Kira Rymer-Attaway of Columbia International as each made the NAIA All-American Second Team.

Maiden and Rymer-Attaway both made the All-AAC First Team with Rymer-Attaway earning Player of the Year honors.

During the year, Maiden finished 10th nationally in blocks per set (1.25) and total blocks (143). However, she led the NAIA in solo blocks with her 70 putting 19 ahead of the rest of the nation. Maiden also posted 356 kills, a .313 hitting percentage, and 76 digs.

Rymer-Attaway ended the season ranked fourth in the NAIA in hitting percentage at .390. She recorded 376 kills and averaged 3.45 kills per set to go along with 73 digs and 56 total blocks.
