WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) placed 15 on the 2023 AVCA All-Northeast Region Team, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced on Thursday.

In the same region as the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), there were a total of 14 players on the first team with eight earning honorable mentions. The AAC collected nine first-team honors and six honorable mentions.

In addition, Kira Rymer Attaway and Gracen Norris, both of Columbia International, earned individual accolades. Attaway is the Player of the Year, while Norris is the Freshman of the Year.

Attaway is joined on the first team by Ashlynn Barnes of Reinhardt; Kolbie Greene of Milligan; Raquel Kessler of Union; Ella Maiden of Milligan; Raegan Malugin of Bryan; Abby Rector of Bryan; Hanah Weiss of Columbia International; and Katie Williams of Truett McConnell.

Norris earned an honorable mention as did Elliott Brock of Bryan; Mary Ellen Enright of Brenau; Lanie Hawley of Pikeville; Georgia Lewis of Bluefield; and Maddy Taylor of Johnson.
