WALESKA, Ga. - Hanah Weiss of Columbia International is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Maddy Taylor of Johnson and Kolbie Greene of Milligan are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the seventh edition of the awards for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 16.

AAC Attacker of the Week
Hanah Weiss - Columbia International - Junior - Columbia, S.C.

  • Averaged 3.89 kills per set and posted a .325 hitting percentage as CIU went 3-1 for the week.
  • Posted 17 kills in a 3-0 win over Truett McConnell.
  • Had 35 kills, 2 digs, and 1 block.
  • This is her second weekly honor of the season.

AAC Defender of the Week
Maddy Taylor - Johnson - Senior - Clinton, Tenn.

  • Averaged 1.83 blocks per set as Johnson went 2-1 on the week.
  • Recorded 14 blocks in a 3-2 loss to Milligan.
  • Had 6 total blocks (5 solo) in a 3-1 win against Tennessee Wesleyan.
  • Finished with 22 blocks, 22 kills, and 2 digs.
  • This is her first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Setter of the Week
Kolbie Greene - Milligan - Junior - New Market, Tenn.

  • Averaged 10.27 assists per set as Milligan went 3-0 on the week.
  • Posted a high of 52 assists in a 3-2 win at Johnson.
  • Had 113 assists in 11 sets.
  • Posted 2 double-doubles.
  • Also had 5 kills, 6 service aces, 37 digs, and 1 block on the week.
  • This is her second weekly honor of the season.
