WALESKA, Ga. - Katherine Perrin of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Elliott Brock of Bryan and Rylee Simpson of Truett McConnell are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the fourth edition of the awards for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 25.
AAC Attacker of the Week
Katherine Perrin - Reinhardt - Grad Student - Roswell, Ga.
- Averaged 5.0 kills per set and posted a .500 hitting percentage as Reinhardt went 2-0 for the week.
- Posted 15 kills in both of the Lady Eagles' 3-0 wins.
- Had 30 kills, 10 digs, and 4 blocks.
- This is her second weekly honor of the season.
AAC Defender of the Week
Elliott Brock - Bryan - Junior - Cleveland, Tenn.
- Averaged 5.70 digs per set as Bryan posted a 3-0 record.
- Had 57 digs in 10 sets.
- Logged a high of 34 digs in a 3-1 win over Montreat.
- Also had 3 assists.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Setter of the Week
Rylee Simpson - Truett McConnell - Freshman - Inman, S.C,
- Averaged 11.20 assists per set as Truett McConnell went 3-0 on the week.
- Posted a high of 47 assists in a 3-1 win over Montreat.
- Had 112 assists in 10 sets.
- Posted 2 double-doubles
- Also had 2 kills, 5 service aces, and 25 digs on the week.
- This is her second weekly honor of the season.
