WALESKA, Ga. - Hanah Weiss of Columbia International is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Kelcey Mangum of Columbia International and Rylee Simpson of Truett McConnell are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the second edition of the awards for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 11.

AAC Attacker of the Week
Hanah Weiss - Columbia International - Junior - Columbia, S.C.

• Averaged 4.22 kills per set and posted a .326 hitting percentage as CIU went 3-0 for the week.
• Posted 15 kills in a 3-0 win at Truett McConnell.
• Had 38 kills, 1 assist, 5 digs, and 2 blocks.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Defender of the Week
Kelcey Mangum - Columbia International - Sophomore - Rougemont, N.C.

• Averaged 7.00 digs per set as CIU posted a 3-0 record.
• Had 63 digs in 9 sets.
• Logged a high of 28 digs in a 3-0 win over Talladega (Ala.).
• Posted a double-double with 15 digs and 10 assists in a 3-0 win over Truett McConnell.
• Also had 1 kill, 19 assists, and 3 service aces.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Setter of the Week
Rylee Simpson - Truett McConnell - Freshman - Inman, S.C,

• Averaged 11.44 assists per set as Truett McConnell went 2-1 on the week.
• Posted a high of 38 assists in a 3-0 win over Reinhardt.
• Had 103 assists in 9 sets.
• Also had 4 kills, 3 service aces, 17 digs, and 4 blocks on the week.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.
