Week 3: AAC Women's Outdoor Athletes of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Katilyn Babb of Truett McConnell and Emma Johnson of Columbia International are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Outdoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 25.

AAC Field Athlete of the Week

Katilyn Babb - Truett McConnell - Senior - Gainesville, Ga.

  • Hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in the javelin at the Don McGarey Invitational.
  • Recorded a throw of 40.70 meters to finish second.
  • Her throw ranks third-best in the NAIA.
  • This is her second weekly honor this season.


AAC Track Athletes of the Week

Emma Johnson - Columbia International - Graduate Student - Clover, S.C.

  • Collected NAIA 'A' Standards in the 100 hurdles at the Weems Baskin Invite.
  • Placed 10th in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.37 seconds.
  • Posted a time of 1:07.40 in the 400 hurdles, placing 10th.
  • This is her first weekly award this season.
