Week 2: AAC Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Katilyn Babb of Truett McConnell and Caitlin Dominy of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Outdoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 25.

AAC Field Athlete of the Week

Katilyn Babb - Truett McConnell - Senior - Gainesville, Ga.

  • Won the javelin at the Emory Spring Break Classic.
  • Recorded a throw of 39.35 meters.
  • This is her first weekly honor this season.


AAC Track Athletes of the Week

Caitlin Dominy - Milligan - Graduate Student - Riner, Va.

  • Collected NAIA 'A' Standards in the 1500 and 5000 at the John Hunter Classic as she won both events.
  • Won the 1500 with a time of 4:38.05, which ranks her second in the NAIA.
  • Won the 5000 with a time of 17:21.84, which is a personal best and ranks No. 2 in the NAIA.
  • This is her first weekly award this season.
