Columbia, Milligan Post Top-20 Finishes at NAIA Championship Meet

BROOKINGS, S.D. - Columbia and Milligan both placed in the top 20 at the 2024 NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

The three-day event was held in Brookings, S.D., from Feb. 29-March 2.

Columbia led the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contingent with a 15th-place finish. The Koalas compiled 16 total points. Meanwhile, Milligan finished tied for 18th with 12 points.

Earning NAIA All-American honors are:

• Mackenzie Pringle, Columbia - triple jump (second place, 12.21 meters)
• Victoria Whatley, Columbia - 3000 race walk (third place, 14;52.80)
• Jessica Whatley, Columbia - 3000 race walk (seventh place, 15:12.69)
• Caitlin Dominy, Milligan - 3000 (second, 10:11.91)
• Ellen-Mary Kearney, Milligan, Mile (fifth, 4:57.05)
