Week 5: AAC Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Dazanni Hinton of Columbia International and Emma Johnson of Columbia International are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the fifth and final edition of the weekly honors for the 2023-24 season.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Dazanni Hinton - Columbia International - Senior - Beaufort, S.C.
- Hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in the weight throw, placing second at the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
- Had a toss of 17.12 meters.
- This is her second weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Emma Johnson - Columbia International - Graduate Student - Clover, S.C.
- Hit the 'A' Standard in 3 events at the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
- Won the 60 (7.52) and 60 hurdles (8.64).
- Placed third in the 200 (25.24).
- This is her fourth weekly award this season.
