Week 4: AAC Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Paige Manney of Tennessee Wesleyan and Emma Johnson of Columbia International are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 12.

AAC Field Athlete of the Week

Paige Manney - Tennessee Wesleyan - Senior - Athens, Tenn.

  • Hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in the triple jump, winning the event at the JDL Thursday College Classic with a leap of 11.60 meters.
  • Placed second in the high jump with a height of 1.60 meters.
  • Also won the 60 hurdles.
  • This is her first weekly honor this season.


AAC Track Athletes of the Week

Emma Johnson - Columbia International - Graduate Student - Clover, S.C.

  • Hit the 'B' Standard in the 60 (7.68), placing third in the event at the Liberty Open.
  • Holds the 10th-fastest time in the event in the NAIA.
  • This is her third weekly award this season.
