Week 3: AAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Paige Manney of Tennessee Wesleyan and Ellen Mary Kearney of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2022-23 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 6.

AAC Field Athlete of the Week

Paige Manney - Tennessee Wesleyan - Junior - Athens, Tenn.

  • Recorded 2 NAIA 'A' Standards and 1 NAIA 'B' Standard at the Tiger Indoor Invitational.
  • Won the triple jump, hitting an 'A' Standard with a leap of 11.68 meters.
  • Placed second in the long jump for another 'A' Standard with a distance of 5.62 meters.
  • Hit a 'B' Standard in the high jump, placing second with a height of 1.66 meters.
  • This is her first weekly honor this season.


AAC Track Athlete of the Week

Ellen Mary Kearney - Milligan - Freshman - Wirral, United Kingdom

  • Hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in the 800, winning the event at the VMI Winter Classic with a time of 2:13.85.
  • Helped the Distance Medley Relay team to an NAIA 'A' Standard in winning with a time of 11:57.88.
  • This is her second weekly honor this season.
