Columbia Paces AAC Teams at NAIA Indoor Nationals
BROOKINGS, S.D. - Columbia lead a quartet of Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) at the 2022 NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championship Meet, placing 18th overall.
Columbia placed 18th with 15 points, while Milligan checked in 34th with seven points. Brenau was 50th with two points, and Tennessee Wesleyan rounded out the field in 57th with one point.
Columbia scored all 15 of its points in the 3000 race walk as Izabell Trefts finished second (14:47.70), Victoria Heiser-Whatley fifth (16:11.05), and Jessica Heiser-Whatley sixth (16.11.53).
Here are the other NAIA All-Americans from the AAC:
- Milligan - Avery DeWolf Burton (fifth, 3000, 10:02.46); Caitlyn Dominy, Megan Christian, Gracie Allen, Burton (sixth, DMR, 12:15.35);
- Brenau - Shatrice Dixon (seventh, long jump, 5.67 meters);
- Tennessee Wesleyan - Paige Manney (eighth, triple jump, 11.92 meters).
