Week 5: AAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Makayla Anderson of Montreat and Daneen Hazelwood of Columbia International are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
This is the fifth and final edition of the weekly honors for the 2021-22 season.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Makayla Anderson - Montreat - Fr. - Kannapolis, N.C.
- Set the school record in the weight throw with a throw of 10.78 meters.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Daneen Hazelwood - Columbia International - Sr. - Reynoldsburg, Ohio
- Hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in the 60 hurdles.
- Posted a time of 8.98 seconds.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
