Week 4: AAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Paige Manney of Tennessee Wesleyan and Mikayla Hollifield of Columbia are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2021-22 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 15.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Paige Manney - Tennessee Wesleyan - Soph. - Athens, Tenn.
- Hit the NAIA 'B' Standard in the pentathlon at the Buccaneer Invitational.
- Placed second in the pentathlon with a score of 3,083, giving her the highest finish of anyone in program history.
- Finished second in the high jump, clearing the height of 1.55 meters.
- This is her second weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Mikayla Hollifield - Columbia - Jr. - Fayetteville, S.C.
- Won the 800 at the Life University Invite with a time of 2:28.67.
- Helped the 4x800 relay team to a win as well.
- Columbia finished second as a team at the invite.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
