Bromell, DeWolf Collect Women's Indoor Track & Field Awards
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Aleah Bromell of Columbia and Avery DeWolf of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the sixth and final edition of the weekly honors for the 2020-21 season.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Aleah Bromell - Columbia - Jr. - Georgetown, S.C.
- Named Most Valuable Field Athlete at the AAC Indoor Championship Meet.
- Won both the shot put (12.08 meters) and weight throw (14.17 meters).
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Avery DeWolf - Miligan - Sr. - Cleveland, Tenn.
- Named Most Valuable Track Athlete at the AAC Indoor Championship Meet.
- Won 3 individual events - the 1000 (3:07.44), the 3000 (10:06.12), and the mile (5:05.33).
- Helped the distance medley win with new meet record time of 12:22.65.
- This is her third weekly honor this season.
