Top Seeds Advance in Women's Tennis Tournament

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Outside of the weather, it was all chalk at the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Tennis Tournament on Thursday.

Due to inclement weather, much of the day was spent indoors. Additionally, only the women's quarterfinal round was played with the men's quarterfinal round moved to Friday morning.

The first three matches were played indoors at the Baylor School, while the match between No. 4 SCAD Atlanta and No. 5 Brenau began outdoors at the Champions Club. However, rain halted play following the completion of the doubles matches. The match resumed at the Manker Patten Tennis Club with play concluding a little after 10 p.m.

No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan, No. 2 Union, and No. 3 Reinhardt all won their matches, while SCAD Atlanta pulled out a 4-1 victory.

The men's tournament will begin play at 9 a.m. on Friday at the Champions Club with the women's semifinal round to get underway at approximately 12:30 p.m. The men's semifinal round will take place later in the evening.

Match 2 - No. 2 Union def. No. 7 Pikeville, 4-0
Match 3 - No. 3 Reinhardt def. No. 6 Milligan, 4-0
Match 4 - No. 4 SCAD Atlanta def. No. 5 Brenau, 4-1

Friday, April 12 - All matches will begin approximately at 12:30 p.m.

Saturday, April 13 - Match will begin at 10 a.m.
