WALESKA, Ga. - Mercedes Chasset of Tennessee Wesleyan is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 18.

Mercedes Chasset - Tennessee Wesleyan - Junior - Rosario, Argentina

• Helped Tennessee Wesleyan go 1-1 on the week.
• Against NCAA Division II No. 8 North Georgia, lost a tight singles match 7-6 (12-10), 7-5 and doubles match 7-6 (8-6).
• Won both her singles and doubles matches against NCAA Division II No. 10 Columbus State, winning 6-4, 4-6 (12-10) in singles and 6-2 in doubles.
• Needed 3 sets to win her singles match 4-6, 6-2, 6-4
