WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) saw its teams' luck run out in the second round of the 2024 NAIA Women's Soccer Championship as Truett McConnell and Tennessee Wesleyan both lost on Saturday.
Tennessee Wesleyan fell 4-0 to No. 3 seed Keiser (Fla.) in the West Palm Beach Bracket, while Truett McConnell fell 3-2 to No. 14 seed Missouri Valley in the Marshall Bracket.
Keiser scored a goal in the second minute and never looked back. Laia Roch Font kept the Bulldogs in the match as best she could, making eight saves in goal.
Truett McConnell found an equalizer as Eliska Dvorakova set up Ashley Johnson in the 67th minute to make it 2-2. However, Missouri Valley found the game-winner in the 84th minute.
Dvorakova finished with a goal and an assist for the Bears.
Tennessee Wesleyan ends the season 15-2-3 overall, while Truett McConnell finishes the year at 16-2-3.
