Truett McConnell Tabbed to Win Women's Soccer Championship
WALESKA, Ga. - Truett McConnell is the favorite to win the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer championship, according to the AAC Coaches' Preseason Poll released on Monday.
The poll was voted on by the women's soccer coaches of the AAC.
Truett McConnell received 13 of the 15 first-place votes to land the top spot with 223 points. The Lady Bears won the last two regular-season and tournament championships.
Tennessee Wesleyan sits second as it received two first-place votes and 212 points. Reinhardt (195 points), Montreat (175 points), and Columbia International (165) round out the top five.
The 2024 AAC Tournament is set to begin with the opening round games on Oct. 29 with the championship match set for Nov. 9. Ten teams advance to the league tournament.
