WALESKA, Ga. - Ella Higdon of Reinhardt and Eliska Dvorakova of Truett McConnell are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the ninth edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 30.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Ella Higdon - Reinhardt - Senior - Savannah, Ga.
- Helped anchor the Reinhardt defense as it recorded 2 more shutouts last week.
- Reinhardt has 12 consecutive shutouts and is 11-0-1 during that span.
- This is her second weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Eliska Dvorakova - Truett McConnell - Senior - Lethorad, Czech Republic
- Had 3 goals and 2 assists in helping Truett McConnell go 2-0 on the week.
- Had an assist in a 4-0 win over Bryan.
- Tallied 3 goals and 1 assist in a 5-0 win over Montreat.
- Accounted for the game-winning goal against Montreat.
- This is her second weekly honor of the season.
