Week 7: AAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Sarah Bambrick of Reinhardt and JJ Aalbue of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the seventh edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 16.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Sarah Bambrick - Reinhardt - Junior - Morpeth, England.
- Had 10 saves on the week in helping Reinhardt go 1-0-1 on the week.
- Posted 6 saves in a 0-0 draw to Truett McConnell.
- Had 4 saves in a 2-0 win over Milligan.
- This is her second weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
JJ Aalbue - Montreat - Senior - Winona Lake, Ind.
- Had 3 goals and an assist in helping Montreat go 2-0 on the week.
- Dished out an assist in a 3-1 win over Union.
- Recorded a hat trick, including the game-winner, in a 4-0 win against Johnson.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
