Cumberlands' Rittman Nabs NAIA Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Emma Rittman of Cumberlands (Ky.) has been named the NAIA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. She was selected based on her performances from February 12-18 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.

NAIA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Emma Rittman, Cumberlands (Ky.) - SO - Midfielder

• Helped the Patriots secure the season-opening win over No. 9 Marian with the game-winning goal.
• Led the team in draw controls with 13.
• Secured a pair of ground balls and caused turnovers.
