23 Represent AAC as Women's Golf Scholar Athletes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athletes from nearly 120 schools with close to 350 total student-athletes selected for their academic achievements.
The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) is represented by 23 honorees. Truett McConnell not only led the AAC but also tied for the most honorees in the NAIA with eight. Grand View (Iowa) also had eight. Milligan and SCAD Atlanta had five and four honorees, respectively, while Brenau, Bryan, and Point each had two.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
