WALESKA, Ga. - Samantha Russell of Bryan is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The league announced the award on Monday.

This is the 13th edition of the awards for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 26.

AAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Jordan Heifner - Johnson - Junior - Knoxville, Tenn.

• Averaged 25.5 points and .58 rebounds per game as Johnson went 2-0 on the week.
• Posted a double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds in a 68-66 win at Brenau.
• Knocked in 23 points and 5 rebounds in an 83-77 win against Truett McConnell
• Shot 56.3 percent (18-of-32) from the field on the week.
• Had 17 rebounds, 7 assists, and 10 steals.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.
