WALESKA, Ga. - Kayla Stafford of Brenau is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The league announced the award on Monday.

This is the 10th edition of the awards for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 5.

Kayla Stafford - Brenau - Junior - McDonough, Ga.

  • Averaged 16.5 points and 17.5 rebounds per game as Brenau went 1-1 on the week.
  • Recorded 2 double-doubles on the week.
  • Grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds in a 73-71 win at Columbia. Also scored 17 points.
  • Notched 16 points and 15 rebounds in a 71-65 loss to Truett McConnell.
  • Had 35 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 3 blocks on the week.
  • This is her first weekly honor of the season.
