WALESKA, Ga. - Emma Vessel of Truett McConnell and Breanna Bumgardner of Bryan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the ninth edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards is set to be announced on April 22.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Emma Vessel - Truett McConnell - Junior - Fayetteville, Ga.

• Went 2-0 with a save and posted a 0.00 ERA on the week.
• Appeared in 4 games, tossing 9 1/3 innings.
• Allowed no runs on 2 hits and no walks with 6 striketouts.
• This is her first weekly honor this season.

AAC Player of the Week

Breanna Bumgardner - Bryan - Junior - Knoxville, Tenn.

• Batted .875 in helping Bryan go 2-0 on the week.
• Went 7-of-8 at the plate with 4 home runs and 7 RBI.
• Had 1 double in posting a 2.500 slugging percentage.
• Walked once and had an on-base percentage of .889.
• This is her first weekly award this season.
