Week 8: AAC Softball Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Whitney Shepherd of Reinhardt and Molly Stevens of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the eighth edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards is set to be announced on April 15.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Whitney Shepherd - Reinhardt - Senior - Trion, Ga.

Went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA on the week.
Posted 2 complete games.
Allowed 1 unearned run on 8 hits and 1 walk with 11 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched.
Tossed a 3-hit shutout win over Pikeville.
This is her first weekly honor this season.

AAC Player of the Week

Molly Stevens - Reinhardt - Sophomore - Canton, Ga.

Batted .588 in helping Montreat go 6-0 on the week.
Had 1 home run, drove in 8 RBI, and scored 10 runs.
Had 2 doubles and 1 triple in posting a 1.000 slugging percentage.
Walked 4 and had an on-base percentage of .667.
Stole 3 bases.
This is her first weekly award this season.
