Week 6: AAC Softball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Kyleigh Sanders of Truett McConnell and Megan Armstrong of Johnson are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the sixth edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards is set to be announced on April 1.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Kyleigh Sanders - Truett McConnell - Senior - Cumming, Ga.
- Went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA on the week.
- Posted 2 complete-game shutouts.
- Allowed 8 hits and 3 walks in 12 innings pitched.
- Struck out 13 on the week.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Megan Armstrong - Johnson - Freshman - Oliver Springs, Tenn.
- Batted .522 in helping Johnson go 5-1 on the week.
- Had 5 home runs, drove in 15 RBI, and scored 8 runs.
- Had 3 doubles in posting a 1.304 slugging percentage.
- Walked once and had an on-base percentage of .520.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
