Week 5: AAC Softball Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Bailee Phillips of Tennessee Wesleyan and Emily Loveless of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the fifth edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards is set to be announced on March 25.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Bailee Phillips - Tennessee Wesleyan - Junior - Soddy Daisy, Tenn.

  • Went 1-1 with a 1.27 ERA on the week.
  • Posted a complete-game, 1-hit shutout against Union.
  • Allowed no runs, 1 hit, and 1 walk with 9 strikeouts against Union.
  • Gave up 2 earned runs, 4 hits, and 4 walks in a 5-0 loss to Georgia Gwinnett.
  • Struck out 6 against GGC.
  • This is her third weekly honor this season.

AAC Player of the Week

Emily Loveless - Reinhardt - Senior - Rockmart, Ga.

  • Batted .615 in helping Reinhardt go 4-0 on the week.
  • Had 1 home run, drove in 6 RBI, and scored 7 runs.
  • Had 2 doubles in posting a 1.000 slugging percentage.
  • Walked 5 times and had an on-base percentage of .737.
  • This is her first weekly award this season.
