Week 2: AAC Softball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Bailee Phillips of Tennessee Wesleyan and Aislyn Sharp of Columbia are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards is set to be announced on March 4.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Bailee Phillips - Tennessee Wesleyan - Junior - Soddy Daisy, Tenn.
- Went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA on the week.
- Recorded 2 complete-game shutouts - a 3-0 win over Columbia International and a 3-0 win over Columbia.
- Recorded 25 strikeouts and walked 3 in 15 2/3 innings pitched.
- Allowed only 6 hits.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Aislyn Sharp - Columbia - Graduate Student - Spanish Fork, Utah
- Batted .412 in helping Columbia go 3-3 on the week.
- Drove in 10 runs and scored 7 runs.
- Had 2 doubles and 2 home runs in posting a .882 slugging percentage.
- Walked 2 times and had an on-base percentage of .500.
- Stole 5 bases.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
