Week 1: AAC Softball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Miranda Fulmer of Columbia International and Jenna O'Brien of Truett McConnell are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards is set to be announced on Feb. 26.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Miranda Fulmer - Columbia International - Sophomore - Saluda, S.C.
- Went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA on the week.
- Recorded a complete-game shutout over NCAA Division II Benedict (S.C.).
- Recorded 11 strikeouts and walked 2.
- Allowed only 1 hit.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Jenna O'Brien - Truett McConnell - Junior - St. John, Ind.
- Batted .688 in helping Truett McConnell go 2-3 on the week.
- Drove in 2 runs and scored 11 runs.
- Had 2 doubles and 1 triple in posting a 1.000 slugging percentage.
- Walked 4 times and had an on-base percentage of .750
- Stole 3 base.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
