DAYTON, Tenn. - Bryan College is excited to announce the hiring of Jasper Wilson as the new head coach for the Track and Cross Country teams. Hailing from Chickamauga, Georgia, Wilson brings a wealth of experience and a passion for running.

Wilson began his college running career at Carson Newman University in 2019, where he quickly made a mark as the fastest freshman on the team. Seeking new challenges and opportunities, he transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2020. During his time at UTC, Wilson consistently placed in the top five in races and achieved a significant milestone by winning the Chattanooga Half Marathon in the spring of 2022.

Beyond his personal running achievements, Wilson served as the coach for Notre Dame High School from 2020-2022. More recently, since May 2023, Wilson has been coaching post-collegiate athletes through his personal team, Battlefield Distance.

When asked about his aspirations for his future with Bryan, Wilson said: "My aspirations at Bryan College are to glorify Jesus Christ in everything I do as a coach and help unlock the potential of our student-athletes that they can't see, to show them that they are capable of anything because of what Jesus has done for us. My goal is for us to run for and towards Jesus daily."

With a deep appreciation for Bryan College's history in cross country and track and field, Wilson expressed his gratitude and excitement about joining the team. "Bryan College has a great history in cross country and track and field, and I am more than grateful to be a part of this family," he said.

As we welcome Jasper Wilson to the Bryan College family, we look forward to the positive impact he will have on our student-athletes, both on and off the track. Join us in welcoming Coach Wilson to Bryan College Track and Cross Country!
