WALESKA, Ga. - Ethan Stamey is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 25.

AAC Men's Runner of the Week
Ethan Stamey - Montreat - Junior - Franklin, N.C.

• Finished 19th at the Covered Bridge Open.
• Top NAIA finisher, placing behind runners from NCAA Division I runners from Florida State, UNC Asheville, Wake Forest, Appalachian State, and Radford.
• Helped Montreat to place 5th out of 13 teams, which included 8 NCAA Division I programs.
• Finished the 8K race in 25:09.77.
• This is his first weekly award this season.
