Week 1: AAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Aaron Jones of Milligan is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 11.

AAC Men's Runner of the Week
Aaron Jones - Milligan - Senior - Johnson City, Tenn.

• Placed 10th individually at the Fire Tower Project.
• Posted a time of 24:36.2 in the 8K race for an average split of 3:04.5 per kilometer.
• Top NAIA finisher as the field consisted of four NCAA Division I teams, three NCAA Division II teams, and two NAIA squads.
• Helped Milligan to a third-place finish behind Florida State and Appalachian State.
• This is his first weekly award this season.
