Week 1: AAC Men's Wrestler of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Steven Villalobos of Life is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Wrestler of the Week.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the first edition of the awards for the 2022-23 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 14.

Steven Villalobos - Life - Senior - Miami, Fla.

• Went 5-0 overall at the Georgia Open in the 165-pound weight class.
• Had 3 technical falls and one major decision.
• Defeated NAIA ranked No. 18 Trace Braun 18-1.
• In the final, won a 6-2 decision over NCAA Division II All-American Trent Mahoney.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
