Life Pins Down Men's Wrestling Championship
MARIETTA, Ga. – It was a battle to the end, but it was Life who proved victorious in winning the 2023 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Wrestling Championship on Saturday.
The one-day tournament was held at Life in Marietta, Ga.
Life tallied 196 points to edge second-place Southeastern (172 points). Reinhardt finished third with 147.5 points with Keiser (84.5 points) and St. Thomas (63.5 points) rounding out the top five. Making up the rest of the field are Montreat (58) in sixth, Brewton-Parker (39.5) in seventh, WVU Tech (35.5) in eighth, Truett McConnell (30.5) in ninth, St. Andrews (4.5) in 10th, and Bluefield (3) in 11th.
Zane Lanham of Life was named the AAC Wrestler of the Year, Andrew Voiles of Southeastern is the AAC Freshman of the Year, Omi Acosta of Life is the AAC Coach of the Year, and Cole Manion of Life is the AAC Assistant Coach of the Year.
