WALESKA, Ga. - David Barcan of Life is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Jeremy Ferreira of Life and Dakota Hotaling of St. Andrews are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the fourth edition of the awards for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 11.

AAC Attacker of the Week
David Barcan - Life - Sophomore - Rome, Italy

• Helped Life to a 3-1 record.
• Averaged 4.00 kills per set and posted a .302 hitting percentage.
• Posted a high of 20 kills in a 3-1 loss at Campbellsville.
• Served up 6 aces on the week.
• Had 52 kills, 15 digs, and 4 blocks.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Defender of the Week
Jeremy Ferreira - Life - Freshman - Miami, Fla.

• Averaged 1.15 blocks per set in helping Life to a 3-1 record.
• Posted 5 blocks in a 3-0 win over Truett McConnell.
• Had 15 blocks in all.
• Also had 19 kills.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Setter of the Week
Dakota Hotaling - St. Andrews - Graduate Student - Center Moriches, N.Y.

• Averaged 10.29 assists per game in helping St. Andrews to a 2-0 record on the week.
• Posted 72 assists on the week.
• Logged 37 assists in a 3-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan.
• Had 13 digs, 5 aces, and 5 blocks on the week.
• This is his second weekly honor of the season.
