Warner, Webber to Meet in Men's Volleyball Tournament Final

MARIETTA, Ga. - And then there were two.

The 2023 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament championship match is set as No. 1 seed Warner will meet up with third-seeded Webber.

Warner needed four sets to dispatch fourth-seeded St. Andrews, but it had to battle to pull out the victory. The Royals won the first set 25-21, but the Knights evened the match by taking the second 28-26. Warner, though, regained control and took the next two frames 25-21 and 25-18.

Despite losing the second set 25-5, Webber fought its way back to down No. 2 seed Reinhardt in five. The Warriors won the third set to take a 2-1 lead; however, the Eagles evened the match at 2-all with a 25-17 set win in the fourth. But Webber sealed the victory with a 15-12 win in the fifth to move on to the title match.

The championship is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday

The tournament is being held at Life in Marietta, Ga.

Tickets are $10 for each day or $20 for a tournament pass.
