Reinhardt's Friedberg Places Seventh at US Olympic Trials
EUGENE, Ore. - David Friedberg of Reinhardt showed he was one of the nation's top javelin throwers as he placed seventh at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Sunday.
The trials are being held at the Historic Haywood Field in Eugene, Ore.
After placing in the top 12 in the qualifying round on Friday, Friedberg made the finals as he was seventh with a throw of 75.06 meters. He could not improve his standing during the final round, finishing seventh overall.
Friedberg is a three-time NAIA champion in men's javelin and the NAIA record holder with a throw of 76.08 meters. He also won at the 2024 Penn Relays with a throw of 73.86 meters.
