Week 2: AAC Men's Outdoor Athletes of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - David Friedberg of Reinhardt and Bryn Woodall of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Outdoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 25.

AAC Field Athlete of the Week

David Friedberg - Reinhardt - Senior - Ellabell, Ga.

  • Won the javelin at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
  • Had a toss of 68.17 meters.
  • Ranks first in the event in the NAIA.
  • This is his first weekly honor this season.


AAC Track Athletes of the Week

Bryn Woodall - Milligan - Junior - Conwy, Wales

  • Hit the NAIA 'A' standard in the 1500 and 5000 at the John Hunter Classic.
  • Won the 1500 with a time of 3:49.31, which is a personal best, ranks first in the NAIA, and is the third-fastest 1500 in program history.
  • Posted a time of 14:17.62, which ranks second in the NAIA and is the second-fastest 5000 in Milligan history.
  • This is his first weekly award this season.
