Week 4: AAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Payton Ellison of Union and Bryn Woodall of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Outdoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 17.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Payton Ellison - Union - Senior - Somerset, Ky.
- Scored his first win of the season in the high jump at the Gordon Bocock Invitiational.
- Cleared 2.00 meters.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Bryn Woodall - Milligan - Sophomore - Conwy, Wales
- Hit the NAIA 'A' standard in the 5000 at the Lee Flames Invitational.
- Won the event with a time of 14:00.11.
- His time is the fastest in the NAIA thus far this season.
- Set the school record in the event.
- This is his first track weekly award this season. He has been the field award winner once this season.
