Week 2: AAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Dustin Blevins of Montreat and RJ Terry of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Outdoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 3.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Dustin Blevins - Montreat - Junior - King, N.C.
- Hit the NAIA 'A' standard in the long jump with a leap of 7.55 meters, winning the event at the Montreat College Open.
- Currently ranks No. 1 in the event.
- Placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 14.06 meters, ranking him 16th in the nation.
- Helped the 4x100 relay team to an 'A' standard with a time of 40.84 seconds.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
RJ Terry - Montreat - Sophomore - Fayetteville, N.C.
- Helped the 4x100 relay team to a NAIA 'A' Standard with a time of 40.84.
- Placed second in the 100 with a time of 10.68 seconds.
- Helped the 4x400 relay team to a third place finish with a time of 3:22.78.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
