Montreat Repeats as AAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Champs
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Montreat ran away from the competition in winning its second-straight Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field championship.
Montreat amassed 209 total points, finishing 48.5 points ahead of second-place Truett McConnell. Rounding out the top five were Milligan (123), Tennessee Wesleyan (96.5), and Reinhardt (88).
Earning the individual awards are Sharod Cobb of Truett McConnell as the Men's Runner of the Year; Deandre Leith of Columbia International as the Men's Field Athlete of the Year; Cameron Alamia of Truett McConnell as the Freshman of the Year; and Will Stockley of Milligan as the Newcomer of the Year. The Montreat coaching staff was named the Staff of the Year.
Also, Eli Cramer of Milligan was named the In Memorial Men's Athlete of the Year.
In all 13 meet records were set. There were:

- 400 meters - Cobb, Truett McConnell (47.11);
- 10,000 meters - Aaron Jones, Milligan (31.28.00);
- 400 hurdles - Cobb, Truett McConnell (51.48);
- 800 meters - Ruchen Blaauw, Montreat (1:50.89);
- Discus - Leith, Columbia International (50.05 meters);
- Long jump - Dustin Blevins, Montreat (7.56 meters);
- Shot put - Leith, Columbia International (17.19 meters);
- Long jump (decathlon) - Connor Ignacio, Kentucky Christian (6.36 meters);
- Shot put (decathlon) - Ignacio, Kentucky Christian (11.40 meters);
- High jump (decathlon) - Quay Harrison, Kentucky Christian (1.86 meters);
- Discus (decathlon) - Ignacio, Kentucky Christian (37.41 meters);
- 1500 meters (decathlon) - Harrison, Kentucky Christian (4:20.04).
